Huawei Honor 2: iPhone 5 Competitor Announced with 4.5 inch 326 PPI Retina display and 1.4GHz Quad Core Processor
Huawei, the Chinese tech vendor known for having all the potential to stand against Apple’s high sales securing tech devices, has recently outed the spec details of its latest high-end Android smartphone – the Honor 2.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Honor 2 brings an in-house K3V2 1.4GHz quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. In addition, the Honor 2 sports a BSI 8-megapixel camera sensor that can deliver burst shots and full 1080p video capture. The key element, the handset features a 4.5-inch 1,280 x 720 Retina 326 PPI display along with a microSD slot for storage expansion. The China based OEM also confirmed that the smartphone will tout 72 hour standby time.
While the Honor 2 will be priced at
1,888 yen (around Rs 1,283) 1,888 yuan (approx. Rs 16,400), the handset will be up for pre-order in few days and will hit the Chinese market later this week. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet if this handset will reach the Indian boundaries anytime soon.
However, when the handset will reach the markets including US, UK and India, it will definitely create waves in the smartphone arena into the more challenging field of competitors than ever. Apple’s Retina Display technology was a knockout when it got debuted on the New iPad screen, which was released in early 2012 and included a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with more than 300 PPI. Since, then no tech consumer manufacturer has been able to meet the finesse of the screen display what Apple devices hold including the new iPhone 5.
Although, now Huawei Honor 2 seems to become the biggest rival to the Cupertino giant, at the same time Samsung and LG – the Korean sibling rivals are also prepping up their warriors aggressively to challenge the likes of Retina Display technology.
Let us know your opinion in the comments section below. What do you think? Will the new Huawei Honor 2 will be able to beat the iPhone 5 Retina Display Technology?
Huawei Honor 2 Release Date, Specs and Price Officially Announced
If you’re looking forward in getting a new high end smartphone, but if you are not willing to spend all of your money for the same, then you must say hi to Huawei’s Honor 2 handset. The device is coming with a large 4.5 inch display and with a powerful quad core processor, all this and a lot more being offered for a real affordable price tag.
Now, if you want to learn more about the Huawei Honor 2 smartphone, then you should check the next few lines, as there you can read all about its official release date, specs, features and of course the future pricing offers.
As you can see in the image, the phone is not looking bad, though the plastic made case is not one of its strengths. Anyway, if we are to surface aspects more relevant for us, then we should mention the Huawei Honor 2 specs and features list.
As mentioned, the device will be coming with a 4.5 inch IPS touchscreen (326 ppi), the system being powered by the company’s own K3V2 quad-core 1.4 GHz processor. Also, there will be included 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage memory, a microSD card slot, an 8 MP rear facing camera with an 1.3 MP front facing one and an 2,230mAh battery.
Unfortunately, those who are looking forward in trying the latest Android platform, the Jelly Bean OS, will be disappointed as the Honor 2 will feature only the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM. I’m guessing that an Android 4.1 OTA updatewill be made available for the future.
Huawei will release the Honor 2 starting from early November (the exact date is still unknown), so only a couple of days until you will be able to buy this new Android based smartphone. According to our sources, the device will be offered (as expected) for the Chinese market first, other regions being scheduled for the coming months. Furthermore, the Honor 2 price will be 1,888 yuan, which is somewhere about $300; a fair price for a Huawei phone if you ask me.
